Authors Linda Stratmann and Lloyd Shepherd

Linda’s published work reflects her fascination with Victorian England. After many true crime narratives, she has turned to fiction to create her engaging Frances Doughty mysteries. One reviewer safely predicted ‘this new calling will win her many new readers and admirers.’

Lloyd’s acclaimed debut novel The English Monster revisits the 2nd most notorious series of serial killings of nineteenth century London, the Radcliffe Highway Murders of 1811. He re-imagines the events, the investigation and a back story which goes back a further 250 years and takes in the Slave Trade, Captain Morgan and Francis Drake. One reviewer commented that the story lines are put together ‘with such improbable ease that you feel Shepherd could, if he chose, build a convincing case against Dale Winton for slaying the Princes in the Tower.’

A local highlight within the national Crime Writer Association Crime Writing Month promotion and a chance to meet authors and buy a signed copy of their work.

You are requested to pre-book (free) places either in person at Lewisham Library or tel: 020 8314 8518.
