Bryant & May and the Memory of Blood

Fowler channels Simon Brett for the theatrical types peopling Bryant and May’s latest escapade and the classic ‘reveal’ after the cast members’ final performance: not that any theatre diva can rival Arthur Bryant for eccentricity and self-regard. Fowler also continues to develop his back-story with malign forces out to retire our chalk and cheese detectives and close down the Peculiar Crimes Unit: the collateral damage to others is immense. Even though Bryant and May know ‘whodunnit,’ can they stop the dark forces?

The next in the series will be eagerly awaited…as will Christopher Fowler’s visit to Deptford Lounge 7-8.30pm Tuesday 22 May (free to attend but book places on 020 8692 4446).
